Custom Rocket Components
Custom aluminum and composite fabrication for high-power rocketry projects.
Made-to-order components from Lee Scott’s personal fabrication shop.
A good friend and rocket buddy who retired about a year before me described the first stage of retirement as a feeling of euphoria. He was not far off. With the additional time, I have decided to offer custom rocket components made from aluminum and composites.
Composite parts will be fabricated with high-temperature epoxy, oven curing, multiple PID controls, and vacuum bagging to maximize density while minimizing weight. The goal is custom work for individual projects—not mass-produced products or competition with established manufacturers.
Over the years I have built a 1,200-square-foot climate-controlled shop with a full computer workstation and CAD software. Equipment includes a 60-by-84-inch table saw and router table, Austrian metalworking lathe, metalworking mill, 20-ton press, drill press, belt and disc sanders, compound miter saw, 60-inch band saw, wet saw for carbon-fiber plate, and a dedicated mixing station.
A 30-by-30-by-62-inch curing oven is in development for high-temperature epoxy, ceramic coatings, and powder coatings. Framing is complete while the steel sheeting, insulation, circulation blower, lighting, and vacuum fittings are being finalized.
Product photographs and additional fabrication details are planned for September 2026. If you have a custom component in mind, please contact me.
